Verification of Competency (VoC)

Duration:  Dependent on Competency

Course Outline

Verification of Competency (VOC) is designed to cover the  requirement of Work Health Safety legislation which states – employers must ensure workers are competent to perform the work they carry out.

Workers’ competency may decrease over time due to infrequently performing a task or returning to a role after an extended period of time.

DTE Training & Safety Skills provides VOC challenge tests by a qualified assessor in order to prove current knowledge & skills of licenced or qualified operators.

Each VOC is contextualised in conjunction with the client. Client procedures & processes may be used in a classroom to assess underpinning knowledge with practical hands on use of equipment in a simulated environment; or using client equipment & operating environment.

VOC assessment is conducted at the request of clients with consideration given to availability & timeframes.

Assessment

Theory & practical assessments will be conducted depending on verification.
